Your face never leaves your device. Here's exactly how the site works — and what we collect.

The scan — what happens to your camera feed

No images are stored, transmitted, or processed outside your browser. The face scan runs entirely on-device using Google MediaPipe, a client-side machine learning library. The moment you close the tab, every trace of the scan is gone.

Specifically: the camera feed is processed frame-by-frame in JavaScript. We extract facial landmark coordinates to calculate geometric ratios (length-to-width, forehead-to-jaw, cheekbone width). These numbers are used locally to determine your face shape. Neither the video stream nor the coordinates are ever sent to a server.

Cookies & advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. AdSense may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve personalised ads based on your browsing behaviour across websites.

What Google AdSense collects

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting adssettings.google.com or by using the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are viewed, how long visits last, and which countries visitors come from. This data is anonymised and aggregated. No personally identifiable information is collected through Analytics.

Affiliate links

Some product links on this site are affiliate links. If you click a link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate partners include Amazon (via the Amazon Associates programme), LookFantastic, and others. This does not influence our recommendations.

FaceShapeScan is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com, Amazon.nl, Amazon.co.uk, and Amazon.de.
